Burt’s Bee is always on my must
have – must try list. I have heard this brand long time back – this brand has a
very well-known reputation as earth friendly, natural personal care products.
The company was started in 1984 in Maine, by Roxanne Quimby and Burt Shavitz.
Burt Shavitz had a honey business which had beeswax as its by product. Quimby
focused on creating candles using that honey by product. Personal care wasn’t
produced until 1989 when Quimby found a 19th century book on
homemade personal care product recipes. Since then, Burt’s Bee natural personal
care products are not stoppable – with hundreds of products and thousand of
stores around the world. In 2007, Burt’s Bee was acquired by the Clorox Company
and it keeps its earth friendly promise!
Sadly, there is no Burt’s Bee
outlet in Indonesia. And I was so happy to find Burt’s Bee products in
Priceline pharmacy in Australia and in Siam Paragon mall in Thailand. After
carefully read the label and explored the Burt’s Bee website, I decided to try
the intense hydration series and Radiance Serum with royal jelly. Then, after
more than 2 weeks using a series of Burt’s Bee Intense Hydration, here what I
feel…

I use this day lotion – ah, I
would prefer to call it day cream – in conjunction with Burt’s Bee radiance
serum (day and night), Belif BB cream and intense hydration night cream. The
texture is kind of thick and it takes time for me to evenly apply this cream
all over my face and neck and it also takes a little time for this cream to
soak into my skin. Amazingly, after applying this cream, my face doesn’t look
oily, doesn’t feel sticky! In fact, this milky white cream hydrates my skin
perfectly. My skin looks so supple and smooth. This day cream also helps to
minimize the appearance of my acne scars.
I also love the simple design of its bottle with dispenser. This product
is highly recommended for those with dry skin and or those who are traveling
during winter time. Sometimes at night I use this product as my hand cream and
it works wonderfully – makes my hand looks and feels so soft.
Drawback:
At the first time I used this
product, I had to say..I didn’t like the smell – it’s so intense. After a
while, I get used to the smell…
If this product is easy to find
in Indonesia or at StrawberryNet (link to id strawberry net website), I would
be more than happy to repurchase!
PS: I bought some Burt’s Bee
products in Thailand and then I realized that the price of Burt’s Bee products
are so expensive (compared to the US and Australia prices)!
