Corine de Farme: Baby Lotion

At first, I was looking for a natural body lotion – I went to pharmacies, checked department stores as well as online stores but I didn’t find any good body lotion (natural ingredients with good value for money). Then I remembered Corine de Farme! They have baby products and yes, they have baby lotion with natural ingredients – based on 97% of natural origins. Here is my second Corine de Farme product: baby lotion for myself!

After using this baby lotion for 2 weeks, here is my experience:

Benefit: Gentle moisturizer for babies and adults

I use this baby lotion twice a day, after morning and evening shower. The texture of this baby lotion is lightweight and easy to applied and quickly absorbed into my skin. It doesn’t leave greasy residue. This lotion makes my skin soft and what I love most from this product is the sweet almond scent – it’s so wonderfully sweet and not overpowering. This ultra light body lotion is perfect in a sunny day and perfect for tropical weather. I will not recommend this lotion for someone with dry skin. For my normal to dry skin, I’m happy using this lotion, even though sometimes I combine it with MooGoo Udder Cream. Overall, I love it!

Drawback:  

There is no sunscreen nor SPF ingredients listed – hey, wait this is a baby lotion! Well, yes I use sunscreen after applying this baby lotion during day time.

Last thing to say: I wish Corine de Farme in the near future launch the real body lotion for adults in Indonesia…

L’Occitane: Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam

Face cleanser is very important for me. Alasannya sederhana, semua beauty regime selalu dimulai dari membersihkan wajah dengan cleanser. Cleanser membersihkan debu, keringat, make up yang menempel di wajah kita sehingga kulit wajah kita ready menyerap serum dan pelembab yang kita pakai. Ada berbagai jenis cleanser, mulai dari yang gel, lotion, soap bar, foam, cream dan sebagainya..dan dari berbagai jenis itu, saya selalu suka jenis cleanser yang light, yang berupa foam, atau gel atau lotion meskipun kulit saya cenderung kering. 

Setelah puas dengan produk L’Occitane yang pertama kali saya coba, yang under seri Immortelle, yaitu L’Occitane Immortelle Eye (link), saya tertarik mencoba produk cleansernya. And I’m so happy to find out that L’Occitane Immortelle cleansing product ini bentuknya foam dan botolnya berbentuk pump yang ada tutupnya. Perfect for traveling!

Setelah menggunakan produk ini selama lebih dari tiga minggu, I guess it’s the time for me to share my experience

I use this product every morning and evening and followed by L’Occitane Immortele Essential Water for Face. I use two pumps to have enough lather to cleanse my face and neck. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh, clean and soft. Immortelle Cleansing foam ini tidak meninggalkan kesan greasy dan juga engga bikin kulit jadi dry. Cleansing foam yang light ini disebutkan cocok dipakai semua jenis kulit. What I love most from this product is the scent. It’s like the smell of grass and flower and for me this smell reminds me of countryside living atau lebih extreme-nya, reminds me of film jadul “Little House on the Prairie”. The smell is so natural, refreshing and comforting – cocok banget to start the day. I don’t  feel the brightening effect, but anyway, I don’t really need brightening products..

So sad that I found Methylparaben in the list of its ingredients… hikzz

It’s a wonderful cleansing product yang sayang sekali paraben masih tercantum di list of ingredients nya.. Hope L’Occitane will dismiss paraben from this product soon..

L’Occitane: Immortelle Essential Water for Face

Setelah merasakan manfaat pake face toner setelah membersihkan wajah, saya jadi rutin menggunakan face toner. Kali ini saya menjajal L’Occitane Immortelle Essential Water for face yang merupakan pasangan dari L’Occitane Brightening Cleansing Foam (link). Selain mengandung  Immortelle floral water sebagai salah satu active ingredients-nya, ternyata face toner ini juga mengandung green tea dan centella asiatica extract. Green tea sudah dikenal sebagi bahan antioksidan yang ampuh..tapi.. apaan tuh centella asiatica extract? Centella asiatica extract ini – setelah googling, ternyata adalah gotu kola yang banyak dipakai di Asia sebagai obat maupun bahan untuk makanan dan minuman, yang ditengarai memiliki khasiat antibacterial dan anti-aging. What a complement to Immortelle flowers!

Benefits: Gentle alcohol free toner, powered by Immortelle floral water

I use this toner twice a day after cleanse my face and neck with L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam (link). Saya menuangkannya di kapas  untuk kemudian diaplikasikan ke wajah dan leher. Toner dalam botol plastic warna biru tua ini punya heavenly scent yang sama dengan cleanser-nya and I love it! Toner ini memberikan instant effect yang hydrating dan softening kulit wajah dan leher. It makes my skin ready for absorbing serum and moisturizer. I usually wait until my skin dry before applying serum dan moisturizer…

Drawback:  Kemasan dengan spray pump, please…

Corine de Farme: Hand and Nail Cream

Have you ever heard this brand? This brand is not yet popular in Indonesia. I knew this brand from a colleague – she’s a France and she introduced me to this brand. Yes, Corine de Farme is a French natural skin care under Sarbec Cosmetics. It just entered Indonesian market last year. This brand was featured at Cosmopolitan Magazine, December 2012 edition. Corine de Farme offers natural origin product without parabens, colourant, phenoxythenol, alcohol and phthalates. There are at least two product lines available in Indonesia, which are women and baby. This brand can be found in chain pharmacies such as Guardian, Century and Watson. I was excited to try!

I went to Guardian to take a look the product range of Corine de Farme. Hmm…for face skin care line, they have moisturizer – including anti wrinkle, rose water, make up cleanser, and hey they also offer hand and nail cream and intimate wash. Finally, I picked up the hand and nail cream. The reasons were so simple: 1. This is my first trial of this brand, so I better play safe not to buy face product; 2. My face skin care habit is always using a series from cleanser, serum and moisturizer from the same brand and for Corine de Farme, I can only find the moisturizer, so I better wait until they launch complete collection.

After using this product for more than two weeks, here is my review:

Benefit: Highly moisturize dry hand.

At first I only applied this hand cream before bed. The texture of this milky white hand cream is a bit thick but once I applied the cream, it absorbs very well into my skin. It leaves a lovely texture and a soft flowery scent – ah a friend said it smells like grass hahaha..  When I woke up in the morning, I could feel my hand soft and supple. Then I started to use this hand cream during the day. I carry this hand cream in my bag. What I love most from this product is its long lasting effect. Even after hand washing, I still can feel the moisturizer effect.  

I have tried many different hand creams, I have to say this one is really gives me “value for money”.  A tube of Corine de Farme Hand and Nail Cream costs me less than 100k Rupiah (100ml) with natural ingredients and long lasting effects. I couldn’t ask for more!!

Drawback: NOPE.
